The likes of Liquid, FaZe, Spirit, Vitality and more have been announced as Esports World Cup club partners for 2025.

As pointed out by Milan "⁠Striker⁠" Švejda, it's unclear how this might affect teams in Counter-Strike, where Valve have taken a clear stance against the partner systems of previous years.

Liquid were number one in Asia and North America's regional standings, but BLAST have allegedly chosen to invite them to Rivals as an Asian team in order to invite Wildcard as the NA representative instead of a team like FlyQuest.

That's according to Complexity general manager messioso.

The Monterrey event can be found here with no public invites confirmed just yet. The event is able to use the old definition of wildcard for their invites.
